Everyone knows that pets can have a positive effect on your health. Studies show that they help us fight depression, lower our blood pressure, reduce stress and prevent heart disease. Pets do this by showing us unconditional love.
This elusive unconditional love is so hard to find in everyday life. Most everyone we know is usually judging us. “You’re too fat, too skinny, too pretty, too ugly, too nice, too mean, too trusting, too suspicious…….” Even if it is your own family. They love you but they judge you. Especially when they are comparing you to someone else. You get the point.
It’s nice to come home and know that your pet will be waiting for you with its tail wagging or perhaps it will be splashing around in its tank. Because pets are so loving, they keep us owners heart centered. And being heart centered is so important to staying grounded. And being grounded will keep you present in the here and now. And being present in the here and now will make you make you less sensitive to whatever is going on around you.
Our beautiful pet is Celeste.
She is a 2 year old Yorkie- poo. The nice thing about Celeste is that she has helped Diandra expand her Indigo skills. In essence, become a junior Dr. Doolittle. The two of them can spend hours together talking about life.This really comes in handy when one of them has had a stressful day and needs a non-judgmental friend to talk to.
I urge anyone who feels alone on this path of life, to find a pet that you resonate with. Indigos or not, we all need to be heart centered and present. A loving pet will help you get there.
