I saw a client today, who was upset at her son (he’s an Indigo) for getting an average grade in a class that he hates. Another client (she’s an Indigo) was upset with herself for making a medical appointment now, even though she should have done it 6 months ago. Their feelings on these situations were that they were disappointed since the outcome was not what they had hoped for or planned.
When it comes to personal progress, everyone goes at their own pace. Everything can’t be done yesterday or done to perfection. Taking a step forward in anything is something to be proud of.
To quote from the song The Climb, “Ain't about how fast I get there./Ain't about what's waiting on the other side./It's the climb.”
Or in colloquial terms, “It’s all about the journey, not the destination.”
So don’t judge yourself too harshly if things don’t work out the way you planned or they take a little longer to get there.
There is a divine plan to everything. When you are doing the best you can, that is all you can do. Do not judge or beat yourself up over what could have been. Just be.
